Preferred File Formats - This list shows the preferred file formats, starting with most desirable to least:

  • Mac or pc format on any file.
  • Illustrator 9 file--include fonts or convert to curves
  • Quark 4--include graphics & fonts
  • photoshop file--300 dpi, CMYK
  • eps format--all fonts converted to curves--CMYK
  • tiff format--CMYK no fonts--Must be 300 dpi
  • pdf--does not work all of the time, but file has to meet printer requirements

Printer requirements:

  • No True Type Fonts, only Postscript.
  • Everything has to be CMYK---No spot colors

Unacceptable Files - Unfortunately we cannot work with the following files:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Word Perfect
  • among others

    These files can be used as hard copy, but no graphics can be used from these file formats. Usually you can save the file as an .eps or .tif--and in most cases we can work with that
